Conn, David

David is an award-winning football journalist, author and broadcaster.  He is a weekly columnist for the Guardian and in 2006 he won the Sports News Journalist of the Year Award for his previous work with the Independent.  His two landmark books “The football Business: Fair Game in the 90s” and “The Beautiful game: Searching for the Soul of football” examine the changing state of football and he has produced and presented both radio and television programmes, most recently on the Olympics for BBC Radio 4.  In 2007 David was nominated for Sports Journalist of the Year in the What the Papers Say Awards, British Press Awards and Sports Journalists Association Awards, and for Sports News Reporter of the Year in the Sports Journalists Association Awards
