Lunch Time Visits
We are delighted to be able to offer two visits during the lunch breaks of the conference.
Tuesday 15th July - Salford Lads Clubs
Take the short trip to the legendary Salford Lads Club (www.salfordladsclub.org.uk). Established in 1905, it has been providing youth services continually for over a century to the young people of Salford. Steeped in history, you will get a tour of the facility - which once graced the cover of The Smiths Queen is Dead album - by Lesley Holmes whose session at last year's conference was one of the highlights. Few, if any, people know more about SLC than Lesley, so be one of the lucky delegates to access this unique opportunity.
Minibuses will leave from the main entrance at 12.45 pm.
Wednesday 16th July - The England Homeless World Cup Team Trials
A unique opportunity to see event preparation for one of the most excluded groups in action. The England Homeless World Cup Team, run by the Big Issue in the North, is in the process of holding trials for the HWC in Australia later this year. Come along and hear from the participants themselves about this event and their role in it in a specially arranged Q+A. Places are very limited, so register early!
Minibuses will leave from the main entrance at 1pm.
